Ford - Nelson Racing Engines

Daily Driver

The Daily Driver Series is designed for the person who wants to drive their hot rod daily. These engines offer maximum reliability and still have an enormous amount of torque and horsepower on pump gas. Experience a killer V8 sound. The Daily Driver Series engines are brutally strong power plants.

The Hot Rod Series is what I would consider the best compromise between power and reliability. I use this series in my own street car. This engine setup has a special sound, very hollow and nasty and can be driven anywhere on 91 octane with incredible reliability. The valve train acceleration is reasonable and soft. This series makes more power and torque per cubic inch than the Daily Driver Series and has a larger power band around 500RPM higher but are "lopier" at idle and more "cammy."

The pump gas Warrior Series has the most power you can get but still be able to run 91 octane fuel. This series has power and rumble you can feel a block away. This combo is a good blend of shear race car power and reliability. More valve train acceleration and compression than the Daily Driver and Hot Rod counterparts, and a symphony of V8 sound. For the owner who wants to put about 4,000 to 5,000 miles a year on their ride. This motor is the closest thing to a pure race car, but still drive on the street.

The race gas Warrior Series is a pure race engine unequaled in power and reliability. Throughout the years we have developed some of the meanest race combo’s in the world and that’s what this series is all about. Race gas is required due to the compression ratios used. But if you’re looking for season after season of a reliable race engine package this is the ticket.
