THE FULL NELSON

Tom Nelson grew up around road racing and his start in carts. His first car was an IROC Camaro, and it didn't takelong for him to scatter it on nitrous since nothing else seemed to make it go any quicker.

His dad forced him to rebuild it on his own, which became his introduction to the guts of an engine. The interest led him to eventually buy his own machine shop, but as he said, "I got sick of decking grandma engines 15 hours a day just topay the rent," and he decided to go performance only. Nelson Racing Engines was born.
